Outdoor kitchens on the Costa del Sol

You choose the look. We design it in 3D, build it in Estepona and install it with every connection made.

The short answer

What does a bespoke outdoor kitchen include?

A bespoke outdoor kitchen from Outdoor Living Spain is designed for your terrace and built to order in our Estepona workshop. It typically has a built-in BBQ, worktops, sink, fridge, storage and lighting, and can add a pizza oven, bar and pergola. It starts with a free site visit and 3D design.

Every kitchen is designed in 3D, built in our Estepona workshop and installed with gas, water and power connected.

Design

Planned around how you cook and entertain

Every choice is shown in the 3D design before anything is built.

  • U-shaped outdoor kitchen with LED-lit worktop, drinks fridges and a built-in BBQ

    Layout

You cook with your guests. A prep zone beside the grill and a serving counter mean nothing is carried across the terrace.

  • Marble-effect sintered-stone worktop over grey cabinets and glass-door drinks fridges

Materials that handle sun and salt air

Sintered-stone worktops such as Laminam that take heat, sun and salt air. Cabinets in robust material. See every sample in our Estepona showroom.

  • Built-in stainless steel gas BBQ next to a glass-door drinks fridge in an outdoor kitchen

    Appliances

Beefeater and Grandhall BBQs, Monolith kamados, Alfa pizza ovens, fridges and sinks, chosen for how often you cook. See BBQs and pizza ovens.

  • White louvred pergola shading an outdoor kitchen and lounge on a rooftop terrace

    Light and shade

LED lighting built into the worktops, so the evening carries on after sunset. Add a pergola or an awning and you can cook at 3 pm in August.

Who it is for

For villas, penthouses and restaurants

  • Villa outdoor kitchen with a marble bar, gas BBQ and pizza oven

    Villas

Room for the full kitchen: an island with bar seating, BBQ, pizza oven and pergola, planned around the view and the pool.

  • Compact outdoor kitchen on a penthouse terrace with mountain views

    Apartments and penthouses

Where you can't build in brick, or the community limits weight on the terrace, our modular kitchen arrives pre-plumbed and pre-wired. See modular outdoor kitchens.

  • Long outdoor bar with eight stools and a built-in BBQ

    Restaurants and bars

Designed around your menu and how your team works during service.

Before you plan

Five things to check before you plan an outdoor kitchen

A few minutes now saves changes later. We go through all five at the site visit.

  1. Your community rules

In an urbanisation, the statutes may limit charcoal grills, fixed structures or weight on a terrace. Ask the administrator for the rules.

  2. Permission

A freestanding or modular kitchen usually needs none. Fixed masonry, new gas or water lines and a pergola roof can need a declaración responsable or a minor works licence (licencia de obra menor). Rules differ between town halls. [CONFIRM: do you handle the paperwork?]

  3. Gas

Mains gas or bottles (butane or propane), and where the bottle will stand.

  4. Sun and wind

Where the sun is at 6 pm, and which way the smoke will blow.

  5. Water, power and drainage

How far the nearest points are from where you want to cook.

  1. Free site visit. We come to your home, measure the space and ask how you like to cook and entertain.

  2. 3D design and fixed quote. You get a 3D design of your kitchen and a fixed price. Change it until it is right.

  3. Built and installed. We manufacture the kitchen, install it and connect gas, water and electrics. You cook the same evening.

Questions and answers

Outdoor kitchen questions, answered

Materials, gas, permits and care. For costs, see our guide to outdoor kitchen costs.

Which worktop is best for an outdoor kitchen in Spain?

Sintered stone, such as Laminam. It handles heat, frost, strong sun and salt air, and cleans with soap and water. Granite also works outdoors but needs sealing. You can compare both in our showroom in Estepona.

Gas or charcoal?

Gas for everyday cooking: the grill is hot in minutes and easy to control. Add a kamado if you want charcoal flavour and slow cooking. Check your community rules first, as some urbanisations do not allow charcoal.

Do I need permission for an outdoor kitchen in Spain?

It depends on the kitchen and your town hall. A freestanding or modular kitchen usually needs none; fixed masonry, new gas or water lines and a pergola roof can. We tell you what applies at the site visit. [CONFIRM: and whether we handle it]

How much does an outdoor kitchen cost?

It depends on size, materials and appliances, so we do not publish a price list. You get a fixed price with your free 3D design. Our guide to outdoor kitchen costs explains what drives it.

How long does it take?

Typically under a month from the site visit to your first dinner, including the 3D design, building in our workshop and installation.

How do I look after an outdoor kitchen?

Wipe the worktops after cooking, cover the grill when you are away and rinse the stainless steel now and then, especially near the sea. [CONFIRM: after-sales service or covers]
